Commissions

Alongside producing the Missing The Mark drawings and illustrating her books, Eliza works with a number of local authorities, independent professionals in the fields of psychology and education, as well as authors, small companies and individuals on illustration commissions. These include research projects, co-production work, book illustrations, editorial illustrations, branding and presentations.

Upcoming projects include further co-author publications with frequent collaborator Dr Naomi Fisher including When the Naughty Step Makes Things Worse: The Art and Science of Low Demand Parenting due for release November 2024, and new book The Teen’s Guide to PDA co-authored with Laura Kerbey to be published Summer 2024.

Eliza’s trademark style allows her illustrations to convey a range of subjects and situations to a wide audience with warmth, humour, and disarming honesty. Eliza knew from an early age where her interests lay, at school she was always doodling in lessons and would slip out of her maths class to go to the art room. After studying at the Chelsea College of Arts in London she began producing a series of comic books and prints before co-founding her own design business.

At the award winning Baines&Fricker Design Studio Eliza was responsible for all illustrative productions and worked broadly on both commissioned and in-house illustration projects including her popular range of printed wallpapers and fabrics.
